Breaking Ground: A Look at Our First Pool Project
The best summer memories often start in the backyard—and this fall, we’re breaking ground on a project that has us looking forward to warmer days.
Southern Brush Landworks & Construction has officially started our first in-ground pool project! We’re starting from zero, turning an untouched space into the beginning of a backyard retreat. Right now, we’re in the excavation phase, and we’re excited to bring you along as the transformation unfolds.
Starting from the Ground Up
Before there’s water, poolside seating, or a first swim, there’s dirt to move.
Excavation is where the plans begin taking shape on the property. It’s the stage when homeowners can start to see the pool’s footprint and imagine how their future backyard will come together.
For this project, we’re beginning with the groundwork rather than updating an existing pool. Watching the space change from its starting point makes this milestone especially exciting for our team.
As work progresses, we’ll share photos and updates so you can follow the transformation from the first digging to the finished project.
Why Start a Pool Project in the Fall?
When the temperatures drop, a swimming pool might be the last thing on your mind. But if you’re hoping to enjoy one when the weather warms up, fall is a good time to get the process started.
A pool project involves more than digging a hole and adding water. Planning, permits, excavation, construction, and the surrounding outdoor space all take time. Starting the process in the fall gives you more room to work through those steps before swimming season arrives.
It also gives you time to think about how you want to use the whole backyard. Maybe you’re picturing a patio for family cookouts, room for lounge chairs, or a clear path from the back door to the pool. Considering those details early helps create a space that works together.
Starting now can put you in a better position to enjoy your pool when warmer weather returns. Every project’s schedule depends on its design, permitting, weather, and site conditions, so the earlier you begin the conversation, the better you can plan.
Follow the Transformation
There’s something exciting about seeing a project at the very beginning. Right now, it’s excavation and fresh dirt. Over time, that same space will look completely different.
We’re proud to take on our first in-ground pool project and grateful for the opportunity to help bring this backyard vision to life. We’ll be sharing the progress along the way, including the work that happens behind the scenes.
If a pool is on your wish list for next summer, let this be your reminder to start planning before the warm weather arrives. Your future backyard starts with the first conversation—and the first scoop of dirt.
